Notes

[edit]

Colloquially people use the imperative forms of the verb interchangeably with هِات (hēt) and هِاتُوا (hētu), yet this isn't accurate. Imperative forms of جِاب (jēb) imply collective benifit of the item in question while هِات (hēt) implies individual benifit excluding the commanded person(s) themsel(f/ves). Hence why it often sounds rude and is often softened by using the lemma.
