Some criticism of the feminist censorphip of his banal opinions of genders lack here. Men allowed to free speech are labelled as "sexist" in Mexico? His ridiculous self-criticism according to a communist-style template is another thing that no longer ennobles him.We should add something about cowards and hypcrite reactions of his club and Puma too. 5.145.104.252 (talk) 07:09, 24 September 2025 (UTC)Reply

@162 etc.: Should I submit a proposal for "Chicharito" instead? The point here is to start a discussion for including "Chicharito" instead of "Javier Hernandez" which is not how he is commonly known. Morogris (✉ • ✎) 23:16, 6 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
"Chicharito" as standalone would be great. I'm open to that too. Surprised you're the only one who has mentioned that. Morogris (✉ • ✎) 23:14, 6 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
I think I'll officially say weak support. I don't think Chicharito is in the same bucket as, say, Nani or Pelé, where the nickname is wildly more well known. Inertia is a factor too—if we've kept this title through the peak of his career, why change now? But per my comments in the collapsed section, "Chicharito" is more likely to be recognizable for him into the future, even if he's no longer primary topic for his real name. --BDD (talk) 14:47, 8 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
That's a bad example. If you Google "Chicharito", that nickname is shown even in news article titles and in prose. If you Google "CR7, most don't include it in the title and it's only mentioned in prose once or very few times. "Chicharito" is more widespread. I recommend you take a second look. Oppose - he names himself as Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez on his verified social media accounts and on YouTube the same as the article title. In the context of other articles, we don't have article content on Dibu Martínez or Shaq as two examples on nicknames for other sportspeople. IggySwan (Contribs) 21:45, 9 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
We don't mirror social media handles. We follow WP:COMMONNAME as best as we can. I originally proposed Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez but that was shut down. Now I'm proposing this as standalone. Excluding "Chicharito" is a miss considering the majority of the sources out there calls them that, even in their titles. Morogris (✉ • ✎) 04:45, 10 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
