As an inexperienced editor I figured I would open a discussion before editing. I believe that the hyperlinks on the words “infantry” and “firearms” would be better served by combining the term into a single hyperlink to the small/light arms page. I feel as though this would better serve readers who do not know what infantry firearms are. Any thoughts? JakeSkiffles (talk) 05:50, 3 October 2025 (UTC)Reply

Please help us out by putting a hyperlink here to the title of the page you mean, rather than leaving us to guess from your description of the page contents. Nurg (talk) 21:55, 3 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
I was referring to the Small arms and light weapons article. JakeSkiffles (talk) 23:19, 19 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
I don't have a strong feeling for or against, but it seems a reasonable idea, so I suggest you go ahead, and if no-one reverts it, all good. Nurg (talk) 04:34, 20 October 2025 (UTC)Reply

Rework of the Invention of Gunpowder Section

[edit]

I just deleted a factual inaccuracy in the last paragraph of the Invention of Gunpowder section (Boyd Dastrupt, King of Battle: A Branch History of the U.S. Army's Field Artillery, p7). It was added in 2007 along with the rest of that paragraph. While the rest is factually correct, the whole article has changed around it and has made it pretty awkward, especially since the hundred years war is mentioned in the very next section as well. It would be great if someone with more experience with this page reworked that paragraph and even that section as a whole. Thanks- Therealdoomcat (talk) 20:39, 17 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
