This media file has been nominated for deletion since 14 September 2026.

To discuss it, please visit the nomination page.

Do not remove this tag until the deletion nomination is closed.

Reason for the nomination:

At 7,573 files this is a large request, however there is a deletion case book and background on the source at Fæ/columbuslibrary.

These files, based on the source, were contributed by "City of Columbus", however the copyright is given as "no copyright in the United States". This presumes that work by a city photographer would be public domain by default, however there is no state legislation that works this way. The state and the photographer may have rights in the photographs.

There are frequent examples of additional copyright issues random selection:

Undated commercial signage, likely to be copyrighted work.
Unidentified artwork, unidentified artist.
Roy Lichtenstein artwork, copyright.
Cartoon from a journal which was not public domain when published and is unlikely to be copyright free.
Unidentified modern sculpture at unidentified location, likely to be post-WW2.
