English: A syntax tree showing feature checking under Minimalist assumptions, but with a multidominant structure instead of movement. Extraneous features have been omitted.
The tree was generated in LaTeX with the jTree package for PSTricks. The code is given below. \begin{jtree}[xunit=3em, yunit=4ex]
\def\feat#1{\sc[#1]}%
\def\chfeat#1{\sc[\sout{#1}]}% Requires package ulem
\def\\{[labelgapb=-.75ex]}%
\! = {T}@T %
<left>[]{D}[labelgapb=-.75ex] @Subj {\chfeat{nom}}[labelgapb=-.75ex] {\rnode{tSubj}{\emph{he}}}
^<right>[]{T}
<left>[]{T}\\{\feat{\sout{nom*}}}\\{\emph{will}}
^<right>[]{V}@V
<right>[scaleby=1 1]{V}
<left>[]{V}\\{\emph{buy}}
^<right>{D}\\{\emph{that}}.
\nccurve[dirA=(1:1), dirB=(-1:-1), ncurvB=1.25, ncurvA=1, border=0.125ex]{Subj:t}{V:b}
\ncline{T:b}{Subj:t}
\end{jtree}
