Mech-Mind Robotics (short for Mech-Mind Robotics Technologies Ltd.), simply known as Mech-Mind, is a Chinese industrial robotics and AI company[2] founded by Shao Tianlan in 2016.[3] The main products of the company are industrial 3D cameras and AI-powered software for smart robots.[4] The company specializes in AI robotics.[5]
Mech-Mind mainly provides hardware and software products in the field of 3D vision,[6] including Mech-Eye series, Mech-Vision, Mech-DLK, and Mech-Viz.[7] Its products are used in the logistics, home appliance,[8] and steel industries.[9] In addition, the company offers other services, such as staff training, and deployment planning.[10]
The products of Mech-Mind are primarily designed to put intelligence into industrial robots.[11] After its inception, the company was funded by IDG Capital,[12] Qiming Venture Partners,[13] and Intel Capital.[14] It has collaborated with Yaskawa Electric.[15] In 2020, Mech-Mind appeared in the German edition of the December issue of MIT Technology Review.[16]
