Fed: Jefferson says there is no urgent need for a further rate rise
(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Federal Reserve Vice-Chair Philip Jefferson has stated that, whilst he supported the US central bank’s interest rate rise last month, he sees no urgency for further action. “Any future adjustment to monetary policy should be determined by a careful analysis of data trends, the evolving outlook and the balance of risks,” Jefferson said at the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia.
