The world’s next missile house

About us

Frankenburg Technologies is a European defence technology company developing affordable, mass-manufacturable guided missile systems for modern air and missile defence. Our mission is to equip the free world with the technologies needed to win the war. We do this by building missiles defenders can afford to fire and produce at scale. Frankenburg’s first system, Mark I, is a guided air defence missile designed to defeat unmanned aerial systems, including drone swarms, at close range. Alongside missile development, Frankenburg is building the factories, supply chains and production processes needed for high-volume guided missile production. Headquartered in Tallinn, Estonia, Frankenburg operates across several European NATO countries, including Latvia, the United Kingdom and Germany. Frankenburg is building the world’s next missile house. #WinTech

  • Reuters: Frankenburg is scaling affordable, mass-manufacturable missiles beyond counter-UAS into cruise and ballistic missile defence. “If the enemy knows that we can produce en masse ... the equation tells him, I’m not going to reach my objectives.” – Kusti Salm, CEO of Frankenburg Technologies Frankenburg builds missiles defenders can afford to fire and produce at scale. Mark I missile addresses mass drone threats. Mark II is being developed for ISR denial and countering cruise missiles. Mark X is being developed for tactical ballistic missile defence. Our FieldFoundry production model is designed to manufacture these missiles at low cost and industrial scale, starting with capacity of up to 100 Mark I missiles per day in Latvia by the end of 2026. • We have selected BAE Systems’ BlackThorn warhead for integration into Mark I missile and will establish a propulsion partnership with Roxel UK covering our current and future missile systems. Warheads and propulsion are among the most technically demanding missile subsystems, shaping performance, cost, manufacturability and supply resilience. These partnerships strengthen the UK supply chain behind Frankenburg’s affordable missile systems. They also support our work under the UK Ministry of Defence’s Low-Cost Air Defence Effectors programme and our plan to establish a UK FieldFoundry missile production site in 2027. • Frankenburg, Babcock International Group and ACUA Ocean partner on maritime missile defence against mass drone attacks. Drone attacks at sea can come from many directions and in large numbers. Protecting ships, ports and critical maritime infrastructure requires air defence that can be deployed more widely and at a sustainable cost. This UK-based collaboration brings together Frankenburg’s mass-manufacturable air defence missiles, Babcock’s launcher technology and ACUA Ocean’s autonomous uncrewed surface vessels to develop a persistent, distributed maritime defence capability that is affordable to deploy at scale across the UK and allied nations. • UK Ministry of Defence selects Frankenburg to develop a low-cost air defence missile system in the UK Frankenburg Technologies has been awarded a contract under the UK Ministry of Defence’s Low-Cost Air Defence Effectors (LCADE) programme to develop cost-effective interceptor capabilities against mass drone attacks and other airborne threats. Frankenburg’s work will focus on further developing, integrating and trialling the air-launched version of our guided Mark I air defence missile. The solution builds on Project LOAD with Airbus Defence and Space, combining Mark I with the Airbus Bird of Prey uncrewed aircraft. The system completed its first demonstration earlier this year, with further trials planned during 2026. LCADE is the UK contribution to LEAP, a joint initiative between the UK, Poland, France, Italy and Germany to develop affordable air defence systems that can be produced in large numbers. The UK is the first LEAP partner nation to award contracts under the programme. The programme will be UK-led and supported by a prioritised UK supply chain, aligned with Frankenburg’s wider plan to establish missile production in the UK in 2027. • Latvian Minister of Defence Raivis Melnis visited Frankenburg as the Riga–Ādaži missile production system moves toward scale-up. Frankenburg has already invested more than €10 million in Latvia. The Ādaži final assembly site is set for autumn 2026 and will form our first complete FieldFoundry production system together with Riga, with target capacity of up to 100 missiles per day by the end of 2026. “Latvia welcomes defence-industrial investment that strengthens our security, creates skilled jobs and builds local capability. Frankenburg’s work in Riga and Ādaži is an important contribution to bringing affordable missile defence technologies into production and improving the wider region’s ability to counter drone and aerial threats.” – Raivis Melnis, Minister of Defence of Latvia, Aizsardzības ministrija Full statement: https://lnkd.in/d_jHkWXa #WinTech #FieldFoundry

  • Frankenburg opens the world’s first affordable air defence missile mass-production facility in Riga Riga is the first operational step in our plan to build annual capacity for 1,000,000 affordable guided air defence missiles. The Riga Weapon System & Missile Assembly Factory supports production of Mark I, our affordable guided air defence missile system developed to counter mass drone and aerial threats. Together with the Ādaži final assembly site now under construction, Riga will form Frankenburg’s first Latvian FieldFoundry production system, planned to reach capacity of 100 missiles per day by the end of 2026. Next FieldFoundry sites are planned in Estonia, the United Kingdom and Poland. The opening was attended by Andrius Kubilius, European Commissioner for Defence and Space. • Eurosatory takeaway: The time for affordable defence missiles has arrived. Frankenburg is the first building directly into that gap. At #Eurosatory2026, Frankenburg’s Mark I guided air defence missile was shown in several operational platform contexts: our ground-launched system, Airbus Defence and Space's Bird of Prey air platform, MSI-Defence Systems Ltd’s layered air defence solution, MARSS Group’s C-UAS platform, and the mobile robotic air defence cooperation announced with Milrem Robotics. Mark I is the first system in Frankenburg’s broader affordable air defence missile roadmap: a low-cost, mass-manufacturable guided interceptor built for counter-UAS defence at speeds above 1,000 km/h and designed to integrate with the systems defenders already use. Thank you to everyone who visited us in Paris and to our partners for the continued cooperation. #WinTech
