EU Air Traffic: an open platform for live and historical European airspace analytics

A self-hosted platform for European air traffic data. A collector polls ADS-B positions, OpenSky flight movements, AirLabs schedules, METAR/TAF and forecast weather, jet-fuel prices and reference data, publishes keyed records to Kafka, and a scheduled pipeline builds Bronze Parquet, incremental Silver tables, a DuckDB star schema and dbt Gold marts.

Outputs go to a public Hugging Face dataset lake, a MotherDuck warehouse and a Turso serving copy read by a browser dashboard. Fuel burn and CO2 are estimated with a precomputed OpenAP performance grid, and official Eurostat monthly passenger figures are loaded as an independent benchmark. The pipeline is designed to run unattended on free infrastructure tiers, with per-source request and write budgets enforced in code.
