Fox News Channel extended its cable news winning streak to 145 consecutive months with the release of January ratings. In overall audience 
FNC outstripped CNN and MSNBC combined in prime and in total day; it also led in the news demo, though by smaller margins.
With total viewers, FNC landed in the Top-5 among all cable networks in total day, while CNN and MSNBC settled for No. 38 and No. 29, respectively, and HLN clocked in at No. 47. In prime, FNC finished January at No. 7, CNN at No. 40, MSNBC at No. 30, and HLN at No. 46.
In primetime, only HLN grew year to year, in the demo – 6%, to 123,000 viewers. That said, FNC, at a leading 264,000 viewers, was down just 1% in the demo in primetime. CNN plunged 35% to 131,000 viewers in the age bracket, and MSNBC slid 2% to 231,000 viewers. In total day in the demo, HLN grew 11% to 101,000 viewers, besting CNN’s 98,000 – a 27% drop. MSNBC fell 8% to 148,00 viewers, while FNC grew 5% to lead the pack with 220,000 viewers.
Among viewers of all ages, FNC is the only network that grew year to year – up 5% to 1.693 million viewers, compared to MSNBC’s 677,000 viewers (down 14%), CNN’s 408,000 viewers (down 39%), and HLN’s 307,000 viewers (down 2%).

The totals for Fox are not high. They do not match what I have heard Bill O’Reilly claim. I went back to basic cable so I don’t watch any of them anymore. I want to do all my own thinking. Maybe others want to do the same. I just don’t think Fox has good numbers. They may have the highest of them but still how does it survive?
News is a recollection of facts. NBC, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, et. al obfuscate facts and craft thier reporting of events to support the policies and elected officials of the Democrat National and sway public opinion against the Republican National Committee and it’s policies and elected officials. I have observed this for over 40 years.

Hello Hilary! The attack on the U.S. Embassy on Sept. 11, 2012 could have been prevented had she heeded the warnings from those with situational awareness on the ground! Never mind it would just be common sense to gather that post civil war Libya might be a dangerous place. Thank God Fox News reported from the scene that it was a coordinated and professional attack. You would have been a fool to believe Susan Rice’s explanation that it was a spontaneous reaction to an anti-Islam video.

I watch all of the channels, left and right, for at least a few minutes a day. MSNBC is good for comic relief, but I give them a chance to redeem themselves almost every day, a chance they unfailingly squander within minutes. One of my favorite pastimes is to watch a panel discussion on either Maddow or Hayes and time the discussion to see how long it takes for someone to call the Republicans racist. The record is eight seconds. Never takes more than 2 minutes.
I am reminded of the quote “cries of racism are usually the last gasp of the intellectually bankrupt”. Whaen that is all you have for an argument, there’s not much reason to watch. Way too predictable. Try to surprise us once in a while.
Is there anyone who doesn’t know this to be true? The rest of the MSM has given up on reporting the news and only offers opinion pieces with a leftist slant. It’s no wonder they are tanking in the ratings.
