CodeWork Documentation
CodeWork is a coding agent you run from your terminal, inside your editor, or as a server. Bring any model, extend it with plugins, and run it on your machine or in a sandbox.

CodeWork reads your codebase, plans changes, edits files, and runs commands to check its work. You pick the model, from a ChatGPT or Copilot subscription, an API key, or a model running on your own machine.

Use It Where You Work

Make It Yours
Instructions
Give CodeWork your project’s rules with an AGENTS.md file.
Plugins
Add tools and system prompt sections from npm, git, or a file in your repo.
Settings
Set a default model, turn tools on and off, and tune retries per project.
Custom Models
Run a local model or route through your company’s gateway.
Work Safely
CodeWork has no permission prompts: it runs shell commands and edits files without asking. Run it in a git repository so you can review and undo its changes, and use a sandbox when you don’t want it touching your machine.
