About the author (1993)

G Kenneth Whitehead's interest and involvement with deer dated back to 1930. As well as writing some ten books, he also assembled one of the largest private collections specialising in deer anywhere. He studied, hunted and photographed deer all over the world and he was both a founder member of the British Deer Society, and served as an expert member of the CIC for over thirty years.
