The brilliance of the Apple Design Award–winning task app Things is that it helps you focus on the tasks you need to complete now, while making you comfortable hiding tasks that can wait.
What we love: Categorizing to-dos with a start date so they automatically pop into the Today view when it’s time to get started. (Things can also differentiate evening tasks, if you like.) Need to track a multistep task? Embed a checklist in the item’s Notes section.

Quick tip: Things integrates seamlessly with Spotlight and Siri AI. Simply type “Create to-do” in Spotlight and type the name of a task to add it to your Things Inbox—without having to open the app. Or tell Siri what to add, and to which list, to create a new task instantly. You can even have conversations with Siri to refine or add to tasks. For example, follow up with “Add a note to…” to include a note with the task; “Schedule it for Friday” to give the task a due date; or “Summarize the latest email from José and add it to the notes.”
Meet the creator: According to CEO and founder Werner Jainek of developer Cultured Code, “unrivaled simplicity” is key to Things. While many apps tout new features in every update, he says, Cultured Code focuses on “making the concepts that we’ve had in the app even simpler.”
Siri AI features require an Apple Intelligence–enabled device running macOS 27.
