And they’re off! Chariot Rivals turns you loose in brutal, brisk races across the ancient world. Outrun opponents or slam them into arena walls to shatter their hopes—and their vehicles. Can you rack up enough victories to topple the ruthless Emperor Caligula?

What we love: Wrecking the competition. Execute a perfect sideswipe to smash an enemy’s chariot to pieces and hear the crowd roar in approval. Just watch out for debris littering the track—and the horses that keep galloping around the oval even after their cart is totaled.

Quick tip: For deathmatch races, choose a chariot with a high mass rating, then hang back and let rivals grind each other down. When only a couple of contenders are left, charge in and start throwing your weight around.

Meet the creator: As the team at UK-based indie studio Towering Towers were finishing up their pixel-art jousting game Knight Lancer, they read a story bemoaning the lack of chariot-racing games. It struck a chord—and inspired their next project.
