About six times this past year, I've been charged for a $20 stack of coins. I did not purchase any coins, and I did not receive the coins. I only know about the purchase because a notification is sent to my email. The charge goes to my credit card (Apple) and I have to request a refund. I always get refunded, however, it really bugs me that the app just takes my money like that. Does anyone else have this same problem? I've contacted Zynga - and they will focus on a one-time charge but not in the repeated problem.

I've been a player for probably 8-10 years. This has gone from a 5 star game for me, to a one star...I'm just hanging on deciding if I want to try to wait for things to get better. I no longer earn power-ups in the game, even though I play daily, and most of the time, multiple times a day. I can play all of the mini-games and weekly challenges and still, it's extremely hard to make progress. The newer word flip mini games... again...playing all day (I usually have at least 20-25 games going) I can't finish all of them because I can't earn enough tokens for them. Everyhing seems so out of reach now. The weekly solo challenges - I used to be able to work hard and eventually beat them. Not anymore. Please hear me developers...it has to be at least somewhat satisfying to play...a player likes to feel like they are getting ahead at least sometimes...or where's the fun? Also, I frequently have game after game where even though I'm playing the highest possible scoring words...I can't win the game. All kind of discouraging. Real life can be frustrating...I play games to take a break from that. The way everything in this game is set up currently...it's a lesson in futility. Hope you hear the pleas through these reviews and make it better again. (Thanks for reading.) (p.s. People will still purchase power-ups if you make them easier to attain...I used to. But I don't have the desire to anymore since it's impossible to earn them as well.)
Zynga has gradually ruined the game

The latest nerf to biuying powerups without raising the coin cap is a bad move Zynga. It has made winning daily goals and solo challenges pointless. I understand this must be a way to force people to view more ads or perhaps spend more $ in game but it is only motivation for me to quit after playing more than 15 years. Why win challenges and coin when I am capped and can no longer spend them to lower it?I tolerated all the animations added which slow down game play and make the game buggier than ever. I understand they need to sell advertisers on the amount of time players spend in game. They all the popups to pay for greater rewards and play more solo challenges when the coin cap and inability to buy useful powerups until you are out renders it all absurd.

I can't understand why Zynga won't do anything about the endless stream of scammers on their platform. 90% of the "players" that challenge me to a game turn out to be imposters with phony names and pictures who play one or two words before trying to engage me in a chat in order to obtain your personal information. To what end - I don't know - but it's definately NOT good. And there's NO WAY for anyone to even report these imposters, even when they are completely obviously BAD ACTORS. There should be an option to see the players info, before you agree to play with them, but there is not, so perhaps the scammers are runniong the company.
