So I first came in contact with this game while strolling through TikTok a few years ago… thought it was funny and looked to see if they had it on my console. They did so I grabbed it, was like $30-$40 at the time. I spent hours on this game going through the endings and redoing a lot of the ones I already did because they had different dialogue. When I saw this version release I immediately downloaded it. I played the free version of it which is basically the whole game… you get access to the whole thing, but youre limited to a certain number of endings. Once you reach the limit a new ending appears… and it is hilarious. The narrator has you watch a video and then go to… The PayWall… a literal wall with a huge dollar sign on it.Why am I telling yall this? Well, I bought it. I knew right away I would. $15 is usually a lot of money for a mobile game, sure… but for the graphics and how smooth this runs it is worth it. Ive already spent a couple hours on it. Here’s my only issue with it. So I usually have my screen locked so that when I am watching something or playing something it doesnt start flipping the screen around (say I am laying on my side and wanna watch something sideways on my screen). This game lets you play it both ways, but if your screen is locked it forces you to play it upright.If they could possibly fix this, I would definitely increase my rating.If youre unsure about this game… I would definitely play the free trial first. I feel it is worth it and definitely one of the funnest, and funniest, games Ive played in a long while

I have played The Stanley Parable since I was younger, it was one of the most best worst games I’ve ever played, but I feel as if this mobile port is missing a few things. For example, if you jump down the catwalk (iykyk) it doesn’t seem to have that narrator line saying “You guys were bragging about how you found this glitch on (social media app), yes good job” or something like that. You guys seem to deliberately remove it as the caption plays for it for a split second. Why? Can you not say (social media blue bird app) or be rude on a mobile game? Another problem, you can’t climb chairs. I don’t know if this is actually a bug or this “bug” is just exclusive to the free trial of The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe. It would really be of upmost importance if you to clarify on that. And, thank you. Not just for your service, but for taking the time to read my review. Also, that fee I have to pay is a real bummer. Please remove it and I will improve my review to 5 stars. Unless it’s new content?

Let me start this off by saying that I LOVE The Stanley Parable. I’ve been playing since its original launch on Steam in 2013, and I still play over ten years later. So naturally I was excited when I saw it on the App Store (for free no less). Was a little disappointed when I noticed that it wasn’t the full game, however for a game with a $25 price tag on PC, $15 for the full version of the mobile port isn’t bad at all. Plus, it runs amazingly for a mobile port. Unfortunately, the control scheme is unforgivably bad. Assuming you play in landscape orientation like a normal human, you get forward and backwards movement in the form of two buttons on the left side of the screen. Forwards and backwards only. No strafing. On the right side you get what looks like a joystick for controlling where you’re facing, however, this is not the case, it acts more like a trackpad on a laptop where instead of continuously rotating you, it moves your camera in the direction you drag until you reach the edge of the “joystick” and then you have to lift your finger and do it again. Also, upon touching the right side of the screen in any way, you will interact with whatever is in front of you. I do not know what the controls for jumping in the jump circle look like as I haven’t paid for the full game, and even if I did, I doubt I would have the will to play with this control scheme for long enough to reach it. I think this game would be a great way to kill some time on your phone if it adopted a control setup similar to Minecraft or Roblox or whatever. And also, maybe be upfront about the $15 paywall somewhere more noticeable than the “Information” section at the very bottom of the App Store page.

Let’s be honest, I am in love with this port but there are glaring issues or things that I want in the future update. Here’s a couple of graphical and visual bugs I found: the bucket ending after unplugging the phone has a problem with the scroll text of the credits, let’s say that they stop in one point or get stuck while the normal ending’s scroll text ends abruptly; when you walk forward and back from the boss’s office door and finally arrived at the escape pod with the bucket there’s a graphical bug that flickers with black boxes on the ground - I have the photo of it but I can’t put in this review. Lastly and this is a preference that I wish for a future update: make an option to choose from performance mode or graphic mode, this means less anti-aliasing and better texture quality across the board; let’s be honest, our phones can handle better graphics, I know that it is possible to make this port look better!
