(Question for developer at end PLEASE HELP A LOYAL FAN) I thought it would feel a little strange because of my anxiety. That I would be nervous speaking out loud to my phone lol. I’m so so glad o downloaded this app! It checks my pronunciation and it’s so cool that we get to practice actually speaking in Japanese instead of just reading it . Love the daily review ! This app has helped me tremendously! On all my other learning sources I don’t get a chance to speak so this helps me put things into practice. The only issues I have is on premium subscription I still have ads :/ and when doing my review quizzes I have to say certain words a billion times because it can’t hear me say it right even though I’m saying it correctly. Developer - I see you are active in replying to these which makes you guys AMAZING can you please please give me tips on making the voice recognition better ? Could it be because I have a phone case ? I will try and remove and see but I constantly have to say the same word/sentence over and over again to the point I get frustrated and leave even though I’m a super learner and learn by taking a billion lessons at once. Because of this issue I just stop around 4 :/ I had also thought it was because of my pronunciation but it wasn’t. As this isn’t my first time learning Japanese even basic words I know how to pronounce correctly get fudged up and I’m stuck saying “kore “ 80 times to get through one question . Please TEUIDA as I will remain your loyal fan either way just want some advice on what I could try :)

Now let me just tell you I have been trying to learn Korean for a while now and it’s been hard. Either ai helps you which makes things so much worse or it’s money. But this app is much different. You get real life conversations and they help you with actual topics. I know how to introduce myself and ask questions! I love this app and I totally recommend it! It’s actually really good and I learned so fast! This app may have restrictions but there’s a side where you can use study keys everyday to learn a new topic! And I usually take that time and relearn the topics to actually master it! This app is really perfect and I’m so thankful I got to learn stuff in there! Please try this app because it’s actually soooooooo good ❤️❤️❤️❤️ and I do have a suggestion if you don’t mind! Like maybe make things less restricted because I also really love the stories! It’s very interesting and you can actually feel like you’re talking to somebody. The only thing is that I need premium but I don’t have a lot of money to use :( there is one story I could view and that was pretty much it. But I loved that story and I’m wondering if there’s more free stories you guys could make? That would be such a huge help because I really love stories! The school story was good! I only got to watch one episode and I’m just wondering if you can make more real life stories but free? Or maybe we can like earn them? Like study keys! Anyways beside that this app is AMAZING!! I really like how you speak korean in the all because that forces you to remember certain phrases. the mini lessons also help me remember words. i just wish you didn’t need premium to unlock everything because some of us can’t afford. other than that, amazing app!!edit: i didn’t know how to reach out to you guys but here’s my idea to make it more affordable!! :) my idea is that you can provide coins as a reward. for example if you get maybe an A+ on a quiz then you get 3 coins. you can cash these coins in for another lesson (maybe each lesson can be 15 coins.) not only will it help you to get a lesson but it will motivate you to get more coins (and ultimately do better on quizzes) to get those coins. there could also be alternative ways you can get the coins such as watching maybe a part of a kpop music video or kdrama episode and you would have to use your korean to translate what they said. (given that most kpop and kdrama fans want to learn korean so they want have to use subtitles like me 😂) maybe you guys could also incorporate a “unit test” maybe and you get a bonus 10 coins? or you could complete weekly/daily objectives and get coins as awards. and to keep customers engaged you can have a starter pack for new users that includes 50 coins. i hope you can look into some of these ideas. thanks for being amazing Teudia!! I’m not a beginner in Korean so my personal experience may be different. I enjoy this app for the style in which it teaches. I am someone who studied but is afraid to speak in person at times. I lost all my confidence when I stopped taking a class in person and my friend moved back to Korea. However I think I can regain my confidence again using this app. The stories and lessons are done as if you are actually speaking to someone and when they don’t quite understand you then just ask you to repeat it and it. I do think the vocal recognition could use some work, I find myself speaking in a more exaggerated tone at times or over enunciating which has not been my experience when speaking with someone who is Korean, at those times I feel like Peggy hill. With a bit of work on vocal recognition I think I this app changes the way people learn and practice speaking and reading korean. I appreciate that in the lessons when responding in Korean they put the phrase in English only so I have to think about the lesson I just learned and apply it, but in the stories they have the response in both Hangul and English so I can practice reading as well as understanding my response at the same time. I think the stories are well done at being both realistic as well as a bit dramatized to keep me engaged.
