Start with a simple list, then make it yours. Track time, settle into Focus, sync Apple Reminders, and keep tasks a click away in your Mac menu bar.
Tasks is a flexible task manager built for Apple devices. Start with a simple to-do list, then add structure only when you need it—with projects, subtasks, tags, priorities, custom statuses, Kanban boards, collaboration, and powerful automations.
Your work is rarely just “to do” or “done.” A task might be in progress, waiting, under review, or following a workflow unique to your team. Tasks lets you shape every project around the way you actually work, without overwhelming you upfront.
START SIMPLE. GROW YOUR WAY.
• Capture tasks quickly and organise them into folders, projects, and subtasks
• Add tags, priorities, task types, notes, links, images, PDFs, and other details
• Create custom statuses for any workflow
• Use fixed or completion-based recurring reminders
• Build Smart Lists with powerful filters across all your projects
• Find tasks, comments, and project information with advanced search
• Start faster with project templates and helpful tag and date suggestions
SEE WORK MOVE FORWARD
Turn any project into a clear visual workflow with Kanban. Move tasks between custom statuses, or let completing a task advance it naturally through your flow. From a personal checklist to a multi-stage project, you can always see what is happening and what comes next.
AUTOMATE ALMOST ANYTHING
With more than 50 App Intents, Tasks works deeply with Siri, Shortcuts, Spotlight, and system automations. Create, edit, clone, search, and organise tasks and projects without opening the app. Build workflows around dates, recurring rules, locations, tags, priorities, statuses, comments, and collaborators.
COLLABORATE WITHOUT THE OVERHEAD
Share projects by email or public link, assign work, add comments, and keep files with the tasks they belong to. Only the person sharing a project needs Tasks Plus—collaborators can join without purchasing their own subscription.

I got the tasks app a few years ago. I appreciate that you can make multiple projects, coordinate or collaborate with others, and add additional steps between a “to do” and “done”. I love that the app will automatically move completed tasks into the “done” section and that you can move them back if needed. Recommendations: Give the option to have a task that needs to be repeated to stay in done section when selected as opposed to going back to the to do section. Add a section that shows all that can be done on the app in depth. I see the main page that says what we can do but it does not explain further how to access or start those things. I would purchase this app again as a new user. As a returning user, the price is too high. (Grace in that I have not used all the functions of the application to truly be aware of its value. Thank you for creating this application. It is perfect for me.
Glitchy and Touchy App with False Advertising
MalPal403
I'm a bit disappointed by the top reviews that were highlighted and unless I'm missing something, they are misleading. This app was free but I couldnt do anything without paying over $20 for an individual subscription, for starters. I understand if there are cool features to put that behind a paywall, but to even use it at all I had to pay. So far, this app doesnt seem much different than the reminders app. It's also very glitchy and touchy with what you put in your lists. For example, when you add a task and then set a due date, if you had a typo in the task and go to fix it, then the date you set clears. I also tried to set a task on a custom schedule where it would list every first Tuesday of the month. While it let me click to do that in the custom settings, when I hit done the button reset to weekly on it's own and I couldnt do it. It's also weird because if you have something that is on a monthly schedule, if you hit done then it never moves to the done tab. It stays in your to do. I wish it would move over to done until the first of the next month and then it would reset. I wanted to use this to help me remember my monthly bills, but I could have just done this for free with the reminders app because it doesnt offer anything like what i mentioned that would make it unique. I do like that it allows you to make subtasks which is really nice. However, if that's the only difference in this application than using the reminders, then just save your money. Maybe my mind will change the more I use it, but as of now, I am wishing I didnt purchase this.
Really, really excellent

As a team lead for Front End Software Development and an aspiring stand-up comedian, I juggle an array of tasks on a regular basis. With the Tasks app, managing these varying responsibilities has never been smoother. The Kanban-style layout is a game-changer, providing a clear and concise visualization of my work in different stages. This not only assists me in staying on top of my assignments but also facilitates a seamless transition from one task to next. I also appreciate the synchronicity across my Apple devices - from my mac to my iPhone. It enables me to keep track of my tasks on the go, which is a must-have feature for my busy lifestyle.Beyond the practical and efficient design, I love the user-friendly interface of the Tasks app. The developers have done a fine job making sure that the app isn’t only functional but also enjoyable to use - kudos to them for the thoughtful design elements, and the clean, intuitive user interface. In short, if you're seeking a potent task management tool that blends into your MacOS and iOS ecosystem seamlessly, look no further than the Tasks app. It stands as an exceptional tool in the task management realm - an essential for anyone aiming to boost productivity and streamline their to-do lists. Five stars all the way!Keep up the great work, devs. I can't wait to see what additional features you'll roll out in the future!
Great app, except for a few bugs
Feistykitty
I just started using this app today, and I really love some of the options it has, like prioritization, scheduling, etc. But I've found a couple bugs that make the user experience less than awesome (I work in software development as a Quality Engineer, so... I find bugs, it's what I do). I'm on Big Sur OS (11.6):1. I made the window small, so I could position it in the lower right-hand corner of my screen, and could just see the few tasks I have. When I click on a task to edit it when the window is that small, it seems the edit window can't open (it's taller than I had the window size set to), so the app freezes, I get a spinning beachball, and CPU usage cranks up until I force-quit the app.2. When adding a new task, I want to schedule it for every *weekday* (because this is a work task). To do this, I have to go into Custom scheduling, and choose each day I want the task to apply to. When I've done that, the Add button no longer shows, I think because the text bubble/pill showing the repeat schedule is so long that it overlaps with the Add button. There is no way to add this task without removing the scheduling.3. While adding a new task, clicking anywhere in the app outside of the new task will close the Add Task dialog, losing any information entered (I discovered this while trying to figure out how to save my task in the scenario in number 2 above).4. While adding a new task, switching to another application changes the visual appearance of the Add Task dialog, making the information appear centered, and replacing the Add button with a button with three horizontal dots (...). Clicking this does Add the task, but it's not intuitive.
This update gives you more control over how tasks appear, makes subtasks easier to organize, and keeps voice input, previews, and large lists feeling fast and current.
