thêm I’ve looked into a lot of notetaking and task management apps over the last 10 or 15 years. Noteplan is the one app that rules them all. It really is just absolutely brilliant. Especially with the addition of the incredible automations and features that are provided by many great plug-ins that other developers have kindly written and made public.I use Noteplan for all my task management now, which integrates nicely with my calendar and Apple reminders. I also use it for storing the bulk of my Notes and research Info. Although for larger amounts of data, what I would call the heavy lifting of my “second brain”, I do also use Obsidian. Thankfully, Obsidian and Noteplan can integrate quite nicely with Obsidian so that the two are able to work on the same data repository. I could rave on and on about this app, but really just try it out. But, do take the time to go through the many excellent tutorial videos, because there really is so much power in this app especially in the many shortcuts and automations that it has. Without really learning about the features, it may seem a little underwhelming. Once you get familiar with what it’s capable of I can promise you it’s probably gonna seem a little overwhelming. However, it’s then just a matter of getting familiar with what you need to use.

This app is great for busy individuals who work on extremely complicated projects. If you’re a person who thinks that 24hours is not enough to get things done this app is for you. Personally I do many different, complicated things. From having a homestead and selling at farmers markets to managing a manufacturing shop and working in insurance I am in dozens of meetings every week and there’s a crazy amount of information shared with me. To remember it all is impossible. This app allows me to write it down in easy to remember tasks and link it to notes where I can see the bigger picture for all the things I need to do. The app being able to link to the calendar is incredible as well! Before the meeting I can simply press the button and it brings me back to a note where all the main ideas for the specific meeting are. Since I started using this app there has not been a day where I felt underprepared for anything since it takes 5 minutes of reading my notes to get back to speed on any of the many things that I have to work on. If you’re extremely busy, juggling multiple projects all at the same time and on some days your only free time is traveling from one meeting to the next, I can’t recommend this app enough.

On top of all the bullet journal functionality I was looking for, I'm discovering many other ways of staying organized. It's taking mental bandwidth I used to devote to keeping track of things and instead letting me feel like I'm on top of my work. I've been using it for over two years now.I'm a professor, so I juggle many hats throughout the day, as well as manage and push forward my own research projects. Anyone who has to do any kind of project management, either at home or at work, will make their life easier with this software. I used to look sideways at "productivity" apps... who has time for them? But this is absolutely making my life easier and me more productive! It somehow reaches the right balance between being simple and intuitive to use, but with lots of deep functionality if you're looking for it.Plus, the developers are coming up with new updates all the time, and they are so kind and helpful when you reach out to them with questions.

This update makes advanced search even more advanced with operators for filters
• Advanced Search: You can now use OR, grouping, and filters directly in your searches. For example:
– "meeting -(work meetup)" → finds “meeting” but excludes lines with both “work” and “meetup”
– "seneca OR marcus -aurelius" → finds “Seneca” or “Marcus”, but not “Marcus Aurelius”
– "source:calendar is:open date:this-month" → lists all open calendar tasks this month
Search also runs faster, both in the main search view and folder view.

• Named Folder Views: Access your saved folder views directly from the Command Bar or via x-callback-URLs. It’s now much quicker to jump back to your favorite filters.

NEW FEATURES:
1. Named Folder Views
- Save multiple view configurations (filters, grouping, sorting) and switch between them instantly
- Tap the “View” button in any folder to create, rename, or switch views; changes auto-save and sync across devices
- Click on "Notes" or "Calendar Notes" in the sidebar to open folder views that span all your regular or calendar notes and tasks
Use it to set up “Weekly Focus” (tasks-only for this week), “Team Weekly” (grouped by assignee for quick standups), or “Backlog Cleanup” (untagged items sorted by last edited).
2. Customizable Kanban Columns
- Add, rename, and reorder columns from the column menu in grouped (Card) view
- Empty columns stay visible; create new ones from scratch
- No more prepending of numbers to group names to order them
Use it to run a simple “To Do / In Progress / Waiting / Done” flow, plan your week with “Mon–Fri” columns, or separate “Personal” and “Work” streams on one board.

This update extends the Kanban views to support tasks and we are introducing Teamspaces as Lab feature.
In the last few updates, we’ve added new ways to view and organize your notes, like Kanban boards and note properties. Now, we’re building on that by adding a new level: Tasks. Instead of seeing a list or Kanban board of notes, you can go a level deeper and see the tasks inside the notes. Group, filter and sort them by state, note, heading, tag or attributes inside your tags.
NEW FEATURES:
1. Tasks Kanban
• View all tasks from a folder (and its subfolders) as Kanban cards, grouped by status or other properties
• Drag and drop tasks between columns to change their status or attributes
• Filter tasks by tags, dates, or custom properties (through attributed tags) in the Kanban view

What are attributed tags?

- Fixed issues with invalid frontmatter (if you added a line separator at the top of your note and didn't follow it with key: value pairs)
- Fixed possible attachment deletion issue when moving a folder with the same name as a note that has attachments
- Fixed crashes because the frontmatter fields didn't resign the focus properly
- Fixed bug in RTF export where numbered lists had an extra space
- Fixed issues with case-sensitive note titles in the properties.

In this smaller update we are shipping lots of improvements for the notes list and cards views to make it easier to work out of those new views as well as a smaller new feature that lets you change the background color of notes, plus many smaller improvements.
NEW FEATURES:
1. "Add Notes" in Card & List Views + Context Menu
- Quickly add new notes right where you need them with the new "plus" button beside the folder or column name in both views (list and cards).
- Long-press for quick actions (open in a new window on iPad, move to Trash/Archive, and more).
- If you group your notes by "folder", the complete path will be displayed, so you know exactly what you are looking at.
2. Change the Background Color of Individual Notes
- Use "bg-color" and "bg-color-dark" in a note’s frontmatter to set custom background colors (supports hex and Tailwind CSS colors). Switch out of the note and back in to see the changes.

The new Card View allows you to:

What is Frontmatter?
Frontmatter is metadata added at the top of your notes, enclosed within triple dashes (---). This metadata can include fields like tags, dates, or status values. For example, you can add status: To Do to a note to group it in the "To Do" column.

NotePlan 3.22 đã sẵn sàng cho iPhone Duo, và Siri giờ có thể thêm văn bản vào ghi chú hiện có của bạn. Tìm kiếm mạnh mẽ hơn, lời nhắc và đồng bộ đáng tin cậy hơn.
■ IPHONE DUO
- Khi mở ra, trình soạn thảo và lịch nằm cạnh nhau. Khi gập lại, bạn có bố cục iPhone quen thuộc.
- Thanh bên, lịch và các bảng hiển thị vừa với cả hai màn hình, và NotePlan chuyển đổi mượt mà khi bạn gập hoặc mở máy.
■ SIRI
- Nhờ Siri thêm văn bản vào ghi chú hiện có. Dấu đầu dòng vẫn được giữ nguyên.
- Siri và Spotlight tìm thấy ghi chú của bạn đáng tin cậy hơn.
■ TÌM KIẾM VÀ THAM CHIẾU
- Tìm trong nhiều thư mục cùng lúc, ví dụ path:"Công việc","Nhà".
- Toán tử done: mới tìm các công việc đã hoàn thành theo ngày hoàn thành, ví dụ done:30days.
- Bộ lọc ngày chấp nhận khoảng mở và khoảng tương đối, ví dụ date:2026-09-01..
- Tìm văn bản bắt đầu bằng @, chẳng hạn @done(2026-10-11, giờ đã cho ra kết quả.
- Tùy chọn mới để ẩn các tiêu đề trống trong phần tham chiếu của ghi chú lịch.
■ LỜI NHẮC CỦA APPLE
- Đã sửa cảnh báo sai “Lời nhắc không khả dụng”.
- Một @remind được gõ chỉ tạo một lời nhắc, ngay cả khi ghi chú đang mở trên thiết bị khác.
- Các công việc chưa xong có ngày @done cũ không còn tạo lời nhắc đã hoàn thành.
- Đã sửa lỗi dùng CPU cao với các dòng công việc chứa nhiều ngày @done.
■ ĐỒNG BỘ VÀ ĐỘ TIN CẬY
- Khởi động đáng tin cậy hơn: đã sửa lỗi thiếu ghi chú sau khi mở ứng dụng, đếm sai ghi chú tuần và tên ghi chú có dấu chấm phẩy.
- Đã sửa lỗi treo ứng dụng khi tải tệp đính kèm lên bằng CloudKit.
- Chia sẻ vào NotePlan từ các ứng dụng khác đáng tin cậy hơn, và các tệp được chia sẻ không còn thay thế lẫn nhau.
- Hình ảnh và bản phác thảo gửi đến AI giờ hoạt động với máy chủ AI tùy chỉnh như Claude.
