I would put a five but there’s some things this app needs work on. Love it but wish it just had more options. Okay cus this feature is starting to get me really mad. I’m going to explain this as best as I can. When you click on a date then click on a time let’s use an example 4pm you can create a note on how long it will be and what it is right? Let’s say you put the time first before you put in the tittle , let’s say 4pm-8pm right? then you go click the color blue then click a tittle and type in work but by doing that it automatically goes to a color then it changed your time since it was originally 4:00pm - 8:00pm now it’s 4:00pm-8:30pm. Now when that starts doing that it makes me furious cus I be quick with my notes and sometimes don’t double check CUS I ALREADY SET THE DANG TIME. Why do I need to change it again? it genuinely makes this so much harder now I have to look back at all my notes to make sure it didn’t change the times on it. It Unfortunately made me late to work thinking I had the TIME right. But no it for some reason added 30 mins on the time I already set.

I’ve had this app for years and it was perfect for me. I tracked every event on this app and color coded every single thing! I used it every day and recommend it to all my friends. And I loved how it was always taking new ways to improve the app and never pressured me to spend the money on it since I can’t. I loved my perfectly color coded calendar. Just today I went into my app to see everything uncolored. Come to find out they made a new update where I can only used a few colors any more and every plan has to sort into one of 5 categories. I have more than 5 categories of plans and with my busy schedule I loved seeing everything laid out specifically by using MORE than 5 colors. If you want to make a custom category (which would be great for me) and another color, you have to pay. This is ridiculous and it’s ruined my schedule I spent so many days perfecting so it worked for me. It may sound stupid but I’m very upset about this I’m even debating switching to another app or getting a paper planner because I refuse to be forced to pay for another subscription just to have a nicely color coded calendar. I’ve just had this app for so long I don’t even know how I will go about without it but if this doesn’t change soon enough I will find something else. I thought this app was different but this is just another money grab. Thanks a lot.

I’ve been using this for over a year now and it’s been great. There are always updates that are helpful. I LOOOOVVVVEEEEE using GIFS !!!!!!! I can’t express this enough. It is so fun. Such an amazing way to express plans. I like that it can connect the iphone calendar app because then I can automatically see any events from my sister. We use it so i can see when she is working. I also share with my friends to see when they are free. I like that I can see multiple people’s plans at the same time with different colors. There’s always something new coming out— like the summer wrapped?? Hilarious. Love love love this app. Only thing i wish is that I’d be able to log in on my ipad and my iphone at the same time. It disconnects when I log in on my ipad or different device, which isn’t a crazy big deal but still. Love this app. Super helpful. 5/5

I really, really love Howbout. It’s made managing and organizing events so much easier. I’ve even started depending on it more than my phone’s calendar app! Throughout the years, they’ve been updating the app regularly and adding more features that have really shaped the app up well. Unfortunately, they’ve also slowly made the features more and more inaccessible to non-subscribers. We can’t even have specific colors assigned to solo events anymore! With the introduction to the Categories update, Howbout has taken away the liberty of custom color categorization for users that don’t pay for their subscription. Upon entering the app, you are prompted to set up the (limited) categories, if you don’t use the categories, then your events will be gray, sorry! This new Categories feature should’ve been OPTIONAL, allowing users to opt-out of using it and letting them revert to the old color-assigning system. Why punish the users who don’t want to give you their money? Why take away something that we initially had access to? Howbout’s team should be focusing on “What can we add to Howbout+ to make the user’s experience more convenient?” NOT “What can we change to coerce users to subscribe to Howbout+ and reward the ones who were already subscribed?” I fear that your team’s practices have become more predatory than helpful! This has such an easy solution, let us have BOTH features! You already limited the amount of colors non-subscribing users could select, why did you have to limit even more? I was fine with taking the extra steps to assign specific colors to my events. I had my own way of color-categorizing, and now it’s all gone! GIVE ME BACK MY COLORS MAN!!
