I only downloaded this game because I thought the critters were cute after seeing an ad on TikTok. I had zero exceptions or ideas of what to expect when first playing. Saying I was surprised is an understatement. I was expecting some passive or boring collection game. Instead I was greeted with a MonolopyGO-Clash of Clans-Pokémon combo with base design and pinball sprinkled on top. This game is seriously amazing. I’ve had it for barely 48 hours and I’m already nearly level 100 without having spent a dime. You get “points” in pinball to either get shields, critters, or events to help level up your team. You then fight hordes of zombies level by level. The auto-fight feature is a lifesaver and I love it. The only things that I wish for is some sort of team/alliance/guild feature with some joint fighting and maybe building some kind of base or something like IdleHeroes has, and a feature that when you get the max amount of shields that you either get reimbursed or the ability to swap it with something else for the time being. That aside this game is a 10/10. Insanely addicting, cute art, super well made, not at all pay-to-win, crazy fun gameplay. Totally recommend!

Edit: The team is constantly making updates and improvements which I greatly appreciate and have increased my rating to 4 stars. I can now add and remove friends and they increased how many friends we can have. I don’t know if I’m doing better at events because they changed the algorithm or my level increased. The amount of pinballs from trees hasn’t increased but you do get a lot from events and the extra rewards. A new thing I’d like to note is that you can’t sell any decorations you don’t want. You get free decorations as you unlock spaces but sometimes they don’t fit my vibe so they just sit in my storage. Minor issue though bc this doesn’t affect gameplay. Thank you to the team for actively listening to player input and making improvements! Not at all like the ads ive seen but it is still fun. You get a good dopamine hit at first but as you level up you don’t get more pinballs to play so it just gets dragged out. Eventually you stop getting more of the bushes and the time it takes for them to grow pinballs doesn’t decrease nor does the max they can make increase. Additionally you have a limit on how many friends you can have but you also can’t remove any friends. The events are okay but theres not really a way to do well without paying money. Eventually it’s also really hard to level up the critters. It was fun at first but not really that fun anymore. Also there’s no ads BUT i would rather have the option to watch ads to get pinballs than pay 5 dollars to get pinballs that will be used in 5 minutes.

I wont lie i enjoy the game quite a lot but as a f2p (free to play) user it just seems so unfair and progress is slow. In every event (especially gold rush which matters the absolute most for resources like glitter fruit and wish boxes) there are a large amount of whales (users who spend a lot and i mean a lot of money) who just take top placement time after time and it feels im struggling to keep up. There should definitely be a system that sorts players on progression or spending instead of making half the players i play against big spenders or people who just started,i feel like there was a system before that fairly matched people together but i guess its gone now or maybe i was just lucky. Getting food (a really important resource used for alot of stuff such as evolutions)for my critters or cards from packs is painfully slow for me as again super high level players get the most food from boss rush or higher level card packs from gr, invasion, etc ,this game feels like a definition of the saying "the rich get richer" and its annoying. Other than glitter chances (because glitter is a purely cosmetic thing no matter how much im angered by the 0.4% chance at getting a different colored pet that usually barely changes) the gameplay story mode is decent and the cozy aspects of the game are good. I also like the cute critters and most of the newer features that have been added. Hopefully the f2p experience gets better in the future ^^.

Clash of Critters has been a fun experience so far, and I can already see a lot of potential in what this game could become. One of my favorite features is the evolution and leveling system, which gives me strong Pokémon vibes and makes collecting and upgrading critters feel rewarding. I also appreciate that the developers launched the game with a substantial amount of content. There are plenty of chapters to work through, and each chapter contains numerous levels, giving players a lot to do right from the start. Since matches are quick and can often be completed in seconds, progression feels fast-paced and engaging.Looking ahead, I would love to see the game expand into a more social and competitive experience. An online PvP mode where players can battle each other would add a whole new layer of replayability. I also think a clan or guild system would be a great addition, allowing players to team up, build communities, and participate in clan-based tournaments or competitive events. Features like these could significantly increase long-term player engagement.Another area I'd like to see grow is the roster of available critters. Right now, collecting characters feels achievable, which is great, but over time I could see players reaching a point where there is less incentive to continue playing if new content isn't added regularly. Consistent character releases, events, and updates would help keep the game feeling fresh.Overall, for a game that has only been out for a few weeks, I think Clash of Critters is in a very good spot. The foundation is strong, the gameplay is enjoyable, and there is plenty of room for growth. My biggest hope is that the developers continue building on that foundation, listen to player feedback, and avoid becoming complacent. If they stay active with updates and continue expanding the game, I believe Clash of Critters has the potential to become something really special.
