  • Fantastic sequel to an already excellent game!!!!

    Sadfly

I’ve been playing the Pixel Starships game for about six months and I’m excited that your studio is doing well enough that you were able to produce a sequel and so far in my experience I’m still in the tutorial, but I am very much enjoying the graphics as well as the voice acting for all the various tutorial prompts and such. I’m excited to see how the story campaign goes. I appreciate all your hard work. I’m a big-time fan.

  • Better than pss 1

    Kingtuna29

For someone who played pixel star ships 1, I can say that here things seem more controlled. In a sense that you can use crewmates to affect certain systems. Would I recommend you play it 100 precent! but hey maybe thats becuase I am easily impressed. as for problems this game has a bunch of bugs! for example if you spam star bar pulls some cards may dissapear. i am unsure if the devs listen to player feedback or even care, but I am a pss 2 fan forever now!

  • Good game BUT broken and some things seem copied and pasted

    Anon8017

I’d give 5 stars but there’s some things I’d like to go over with.Ok so overall, game seems good and has potential BUT I can’t tell if some things were just lazily copied and pasted from the first game or the features weren’t fixed. For instance, there’s a message saying somewhere that players can revenge attack you if you attack them, yet I haven’t even found a way to see if you’ve been attacked besides finding the wins and loses on your profile. BUT, the feature where you don’t lose resources if you get attacked and you lose, so it won’t make some people rage out of the game. Now for the game breaking bug, you can’t get past the “diplomacy envoy” mission. Not saying it’s too difficult, I mean once you get to the system, the mission isn’t found anywhere and prevents further progression through missions. Now you’re still able to upgrade stuff and aren’t completely soft locked, you cannot explore anywhere else you haven’t already. The market seems different too, it uses ONLY the money system (similar to gems instead of coins where you get them overtime, you gotta pay for them). And with the diplomacy envoy bug, you can’t get good loot or things to sell on the market. So overall: good game, seems to be still in development, some things seem copied and pasted, but still overall fun with some interesting mechanics like the O2 system.

  • Help me

    Dukemando

I am trying so hard to like this game. Just got it today, and so far I have ran into 3 problems. One of those being a bug, the other 2 being maybe bugs. 1st one. In my main mission bar or whatever it is, it shows a completed mission that gives me 99 black squares… I tap on it, doesnt do anything. Have refreshed the game, have tried to fix corrupted files, nope. 2. It sends access resources to my mail..l but when I try to take them out of the mail, if I can’t hold that amount, it says, access will be sent to mail. Ok, good. I take that, doesnt allow me too because I need more storage… but you just said it will just send access to storage? Anyways, I have all these resources in the mail that I can’t use because I can’t hold them.3. It will not allow me to put people from the crew bar to the actual starship… I have 2 people in the crew bar, yet I still had to buy another guy instead of just being able to drag from the bar to my ship.besides these 3 games, the game is enjoyable. These 3 issues remove only 2 stars, 1. because I really want to like this game, and 2, the last 2 issues are probably me being stupid.I recommend this game, it’s approved by me, a free to play player. Anyways, please help me with my issues, and I will move my rating up. Thank you.Update:Issue 1 has been resolved, thank you.

  • Pretty fun

    Kevin84639

Pretty fun simple game that you can play a few minutes a day or longer when strategizing your ship design. Still a work in progress. It is very annoying that you can very very easily lose in game currency with a tiny click. Lost a months worth of it all at once. No confirmation or anything. It’s happened half a dozen times due to the UI but the most recent time caused me to lose 3/4 of all of it that i had been working on building for a long time

  • Great but not perfect

    _AlexTheLion_

I was say the game compare to the Pixel Starship 1 is definitely a big leap. One thing I love is the that you are about to have 3 profile per account for someone who wants to play all 3 factions I’m able to do so. I’m also get use to the commands which is a little different compared to original pixel starship. The are some bugs that are pretty frustrating. The screen blacks out when look to combat. I’m the quest where tells you to join a fleet but when I do it does not register I did, preventing me from progressing. For new players I definitely will say there are a lot more improvements needs to be done so do not expect it to be a perfect game, the update are fairly spontaneous. So it’s not like the developers are just going to leave it as is. And definitely keep an open mind, don’t just quit cuz something isn’t working, definitely say something on Reddit or join community discord it’s pretty helpful. At the end of the day it is developing, and it’ll get better so for now I’ll leave a star 4 it definitely on a 5 star trajectory and will change my rating to a 5 star once the bugs are fixed.

    Respuesta del desarrollador

Hello Captain, Glad to hear you are enjoying the PSS2 and the game is still rather early on in its development cycle and we have many updates planned. We know there are glitches, but we are doing our best to solve them as the pop up. I hope you we continue to see you in space. Fly safe o7.

  • The Sequel Nobody Asked For

    SPDStrife

What do you do when you have a gem of a game that you’re running into the ground? Why you go make soulless unity clone of it obviously! PSS2 is the inbred cousin of PSS1; ugly, disease (bug) ridden, and not invited to the family reunion.Anywhere that PSS1 had charm and creativity, PSS2 has budget unity assets and obtuse mechanics. Beyond just spitting in the face of the original, PSS2 was rushed out (likely to meet deadlines set by grant funding or simply in a desperate attempt to generate more money) in a literally unplayable state. The game, simply put, is not functional. The UI is even clunkier than PSS1, and that’s saying something. Intrusive popups and constant reminders to pay real money for in game currency/buffs are rampant. Nothing is explained properly, and the player is simply expected to have fun in the face of overwhelming confusion. The pacing of the tutorial is beyond horrendous. The character avatars have no soul. The gameplay is simultaneously too slow to be engaging and too fast to be understood by a new player.I’ve only scratched the surface of the issues. Avoid this game at all costs. Even if it was playable, it wouldn’t be worth the time.

  • Bugs

    Bodhi985421

Goodness… this thing is worse than Homeworld mobile, and that game folded in a year. Constant bugs, continuous crashes, features missing or worse than the first game.Examples:PvP is nearly unplayable. The game either crashes or matches you against unavailable opponents, then crashes. You can actually fight a PvP battle, maybe, 1 out of 3 starts.Ship rooms. Move a room? Maybe the game will move it, maybe it’ll crash, maybe it’ll let you move rooms, then crash and forget the last 5 minutes of moves. Who knows!?!?!Crew. Good luck. You can loan crew to fleet members, but only active crew. So you have to store a crew, then place a crew, then loan that crew to the fleet, then replace you regular crew! Think that’ll work? See the ship rooms section….Then there’s annoying UI things. Your inventory doesn’t tell you the level of the room. So, when placing armor, where lvl 1-3 are graphically identical, you just have to guess which the right one is. AND the rooms move around as you place them. AND the click and drag doesn’t work well, so good luck if the room you’re trying to place is at the bottom of the list…The core of the first game is here, I just don’t understand how the devs expect this game to last if they’re tanking the release this bad. This should have been a closed beta at best… I can’t see how they can even justify the cash shop being open…Oh, last bug! The “free speed up” button for reloading ammo, something you do after every battle, IS NOT FREE. It charges you premium currency every time. I lost 50+ currency before I even noticed…

  • Huge Fan Suggesting Direction

    JLeDeLuca

As a huge fan of Pixel Starships, I was super excited for the release of Pixel Starships 2. Right now it feels like a beta release and I’m fine with that as long as the performance continues to improve. My biggest suggestions are: profile aesthetic customization, and ship aesthetic customization. For a game with lots of visual updates it feels like the most impactful ones are missing. Personalized aesthetics are really important I want other players to click on my profile and see all the hard work I’ve put in, it’s another way to compete beyond the PVP matchmaking. I would also love to see a skill tree of some kind that further differentiates my ship and play style from everyone else. Other than that, I’ve seen lots of other great comments with other suggestions, but those are the ones I feel strongly about.

  • Needs work operates ok

    FOX77878

This game requires fixing on there combat system building system and changing room position needs work on to as well missions require some work. It may not crash but it has a habit of freezing in a action including in combat the timer reviles 00:00 as the action’s to operate the crew and weapon system and power as well automatic it with ai just will not respond. I’m aware this is new and I love it i just wish it works right now and I’ll be here when it’s fixed. I do enjoy and love the gameplay it’s so much more than the 1st pixle starship and its mechanics are fare more complex than the original and it is to be expected to have bugs glitches and freezing from time to time can’t expect much but I love it.
