I have only ever played this on the Apple Vision Pro. It’s been a really fun game, but the last couple updates have introduced some weird issues. First off, it started doing this thing where when purchasing upgrades for a monkey, rather than giving you one at a time it maxes out the upgrades to whatever amount of money you have. If I’m careful and I kind of pinch my fingers together and hold them there for a little while it will only give me one upgrade. The same thing happens when I select a monkey ‘targeting option’ (first, last, strong, etc.) It’s almost like it sees one ‘click’ as multiple. Second of all, the most recent update made selecting a monkey on screen often impossible. I often have to look off to the side of a monkey, or move my eyes around a whole bunch while constantly pinching my fingers together and hope that I hit whatever invisible spot is the selection point. The other place where I have noticed this happening is in selecting the little treasure chest on the main screen. None of the other UI elements have this issue and I don’t have either of those issues in other areas of the VP other than this game. Deleting it and reinstalling did not fix the problems.

For the most part, the game is a lot of fun and a great way to experience the Apple Vision Pro. However, there are some serious bugs that still need addressing. For example, once you’ve unlocked more than the starting four or five monkeys, whenever you try to scroll to access other monkeys, the game not only shuts down but reboots your entire Apple Vision Pro. Also, when trying to set a monkey to target “strong”, it takes a lot of effort and multiple tries to get the game to recognize and allow you to do that. The game can still be played despite these bugs, but they are significant and definitely impact overall enjoyment.

You can’t actually play the game if you play this on an iPhone or an iPad and have a newer update the game just tells you that there’s an update available but there’s not one the visionOS App Store please update your app

This is the best experience on any platform that I have played this game. I do see the reviews siding, the update, problem, but I found it pretty easy to uninstall the application and reinstall it with the update already there. All the data was saved, in iCloud, so there was no harm in doing it this way. Pretty easy workaround. I love the 3-Dexperience and Hope that they can make it fully immersive in the future. I am in for the long-haul here!

I am very grateful that the game at least works now; the issue with it not getting past the update screen is resolved. However, a new bug has appeared when you try to set the monkeys to attack different targets—like close first strong or last—the game clicks twice when you only click once meaning you can only set the monkeys to attack “first” or “close.”

Since the newest update of the game, a couple of months ago, it doesn’t appear that there is any hope for an update to make it compatible with visionOS. This is really sad because it became my favorite game when it worked, but ever since the update for all the other devices, vision pro didn’t get an update and is now incompatible with all of those other updates.I really hope that I am wrong as this game is wonderful on the visionOS when it is working.

I play the arcade version on both phone and Apple Vision Pro. I cannot go more than two or three rounds with this new update without the game crashing on APV. It’s working great through arcade on my phone, but on this platform it continues to crash I have tried reinstalling. I have tried new games and not using saved ones from my phone. I have tried not using the iCloud version. Nothing keeps it from crashing.

The game works great, but unfortunately, if you play on your iPhone or iPad and you make progress, you’ll be unable to make more progress on your Vision Pro until the app updates since they are not on the same release schedule. This needs to be fixed in order for it to actually be functional.

Working exactly as expected, though it would be really good if they sync with your existing iPad or iPhone account works. It seems like I had to start from scratch.

In addition to the annoying bug that lost all my progress when trying to save, there really aren’t any 3-D aspects to this game that make it any better than playing an iPhone or iPad version. A real wasted opportunity.
