Over the last few months, the quality of the app I use most frequently has significantly worsened. I have encountered several issues with its functionality:1.When I watch a video in landscape orientation, an ad often appears in the middle of the video. After the ad, the video size frequently becomes much smaller than the screen, taking up only about 30-40% of it.2.Another issue occurs quite often: I tap on a video—whether from the home page or the “Watch Later” page—and the video starts playing, but the control buttons (previous, play/pause, next) are not available. Instead, only the “Play Again” button is shown. When I tap it, the video starts playing again, this time with the proper control buttons visible as they should be.3.Lastly, I sometimes experience problems with the navigation buttons. They stop working and appear slightly misaligned, shifted towards the top of the menu. However, I’ve only been able to reproduce this issue on the iPhone 11.These problems have occurred on iPhone 11, iPhone 12, and iPhone 11 Pro Max.

You are making unnecessary updates, providing features no one asked. Last examples: AI auto translate of music and auto translated titles of videos.About first example. Creator added Rammstein song Sonne in his short video. It is on German obviously. And your auto dub was set by default and translated it with awful quality on English . It created quite bad experience from watching that one particular video. About the second one. I’ve noticed long time ago that you are translating titles. But it was not so often so I didn’t mind. But recently I cannot distinguish one video from another. It doesn’t make any sense. If I don’t know Spanish for example and I see a title translated to my system language I know then it creates deception. I will click that video thinking it will be on language I understand and will close it being disappointed. You should at least add feature to keep original titles if consumer wants.

Please add some filters so that the people could easily find some videos which they watched several tears ago and liked it. Some kind of video categories would also help to find a necessary video. Also please keep folder like ‘Watch later’ and ‘Liked videos’ on the top if list of all folders that each person is creating manually to save interesting and valuable videos so not to scroll a lot to find the ‘Liked videos’ folder somewhere in the middle if the list as usually all folders are placed in an alphabetical order. It’s been more then a year now since this started happening. Sometimes recommendations feed just decides to misbehave out of the blue. I can’t scroll down for more then 2 screens approximately, videos just don’t show up for some reason and then if I scroll back up the part where the first video should be it is just a blank white space. Restarting and/or reinstalling the app doesn’t help and neither does rebooting the phone. This is just a mess. It has been better before, this only happened after I opened a video and minimized it and restarting the app helped for 1 video at least. I could have restarted, selected a video, enjoyed it and restarted the app again to find another one, but now the bug just appears whenever it feels like it. And what’s even more frustrating is that subscription feed works perfectly, why recommendations can’t just do that PLEASE

Ive been using this app for over a year starting from iOS 15 till nowadays iOS 17 on iPhone 14 Plus and thought-out that time there still are the two biggest issues with this app that irritate me. 1. You cannot remove shorts from the history. You cannot remove it by swiping to the left like you can for a video nor can you press the 3dots button aka hamburger menu, it simply does not react to a tap, there is no even animation it’s being tapped whereas the same button for a video works just great. 2. Oftentimes the top bar (with the explore button) in between the header and feeds on the home page is missing. Sometimes it reappears when I update the feeds by means of updating the feeds, this does not allow me to navigate to the news section for instance. So it really makes me think that Google either trolls me, a Red user, or they simply hire QA stuff from a zoo!

Why can not I turn off the Shorts? I am not interested in it at all. Give me setting that turns it off. Second point that I hate when I have to see several music videos in a row in my subscriptions. Better would be divide music artists and video makers on two different section. Third that I would like to heave ability to sort my subs on sections that I can create by my own. As example I would create such sections like “Comedy shows”, “Learning”, “Work”, “Football highlights”, “Lofi creators”, “Bushcraft and fishing”. It would be awesome to have ability to rule own subs content and not suffer when I try to catch something specific that need now in subs feed now Also recommendations of videos that I have already seen. A lot.

In general, the app is performing good, but there’re always small UI glitches. Like selection of the channel that does not look nice or the write a comment line that does not disappear when you hide your keyboard with a key.Also community is not on the iPad yet, is this so huge to implement?Here, in Ukraine, we’re not able to donate to the authors yet. Why? Other platforms have this opportunity in our country. We need that to support our local bloggers that are in trouble because of comparatively small audience size. And in documentation, there’s no explanation why it is like so. Definitely not a good level app for one of the richest companies of the world. But with no good alternatives, I continue to use it.

Either you pay, or you have to sit through three consecutive ads before the video starts, which you can’t skip right away, followed by more ads every couple of minutes throughout the video. And even after you’ve finally waited long enough to close them, there’s still an extra ad banner covering part of the video that you have to dismiss separately by clicking on a deliberately microscopic X, clearly designed to make you miss it and accidentally click on the ad instead.I understand that keeping an app running requires money, but when there’s almost as much advertising as actual content, it’s simply too much. It turns what used to be a good product into complete garbage and makes people hate the company behind it.On top of that, the developers have added their own version of TikTok to the app, encouraging you to waste even more time watching stupid short videos you never intended to watch in the first place. But because of human psychology, it’s hard to resist these formats, which exploit our natural tendencies through personalized recommendation algorithms. Of course, the developers deliberately don’t give you the option to disable this feature because they want you to spend all your time in their app, watching ads!And then there are the endless, unnecessary updates that somehow manage to make a perfectly usable app less convenient. Why do you constantly feel the need to change things that already work?Using this app is an absolutely miserable experience. The only reason people put up with it is that there are virtually no alternatives for discovering and watching high-quality content from talented creators. So we’re forced to use this terrible service just to watch the genuinely great, long-form videos that some creators still put so much effort into making.

Hi-! I think this happened to a few other people too, but here’s my story: I decided to make a shorts video. I recorded it, I added the audio, I added the text, I added the sticker, I try to upload it.. “Can’t export”. I’ve tried doing the same but with no text, and yeah- it works-!! The thing is, I cannot make videos without text or audio or stickers. But also, yesterday, I uploaded a video and it was fine, then it said I can’t export it. Today I uploaded another one, I thought it was fixed. But when I tried to upload another one, it said “Can’t export” again. So each day I can only upload 1 video..? No. I need it fixed ASAP-!!! Please fix it A.S.A.P-!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please, at least let us turn it off manually. When I’m watching Shorts, I can’t listen to any songs or watch any videos without the auto translations, which is really annoying. Sometimes it translates languages that I already understand which makes it even worse. I can’t watch any blogs, memes, or music videos because the auto translate ruins the whole experience. Plus, you never know if a video’s title was translated—I click on it, hoping it will be in my language, and then I hear the terrible and low quality translation again. I barely want to use the app anymore. I’m sure I’m not the first one asking, so please do something about it. Thanks for your time.
