Reddit is one of my favorite apps!
Doggcarr27
I keep using it in HS when I try to avoid talking to idiots and it’s just a great distraction from the noise of the deranged monkeys in my class.Even tho I’m a lurker and I never talk to people it’s still a great app. I love how the users are usually supportive of each other, especially r/teenagers. I feel like I was helped by the users even tho I didn’t speak to them but if I ever feel like I need to communicate to teens I’ll probably go there. So yeah great app!!
Multiple UX problems, and this crash is the cherry on top
DiriDam
The worst UX thing is how many options you have for scrolling to the top or exiting the page you are viewing (be it a users profile a subreddit). Firstly, swiping to the left shouldn’t be how you exit the page and the button in the corner shouldn’t refresh the home page. There, now it’s usable. I was scrolling through a sub lately, as I do for research on tech regularly, and I existed it 5 times, needing to quickly scroll to find where I left off. Tumblr or TikTok have the option to undo going to the top of the page and it’s a miracle for overall user experience.I was writing an educational comment and after I had written three long paragraphs, the client crashed. It’s not the first time it has suddenly crashed, but usually it’s not that much of a problem.Using the latest version of the unmodified iOS client on an iPhone 15 Pro.
Autoplay is running all videos at once on phone screen
Iridayum
Why on Earth is Reddit app Autoplaying all the videos on the screen while scrolling, instead o just 1 at the time? So I scroll and 3 videos are playing at the same time. One at the top if it is longer, the on in the Middle that I'm trying to watch, and the one at the bottom that try not to peek at it and once I'm at the 3 clip it's already in the middle of the playtime if not ended already. It should play only 1 video at the time. The one that I'm focused on.The previous video will still play even if it has 1mm left of it's thumbnail, with sound included. Can you add a option in settings to play only 1 video per screen swipe please? Thank you. (iPhone 15pro max, reddit Card View)
