User experience is getting worse with each update
Zzmez123
The pen options window is getting bigger each update and less customizable and covers a lot of the screen. Can’t find a good place to put it at the moment. It was way better in the earlier versions. Also, I’m getting multiple touches that zooms the page. I didn’t have this issue either. Please focus on ux and bugfixes instead of monetizing the app even more.
Things that could be improved
i.arte
This is indeed a great, revolutionary way of taking notes. It is a great tool that helps better the student experience. It has very useful features, especially the recording option, but there are some things which can be improved/ added. When importing a pdf, I wish it would be possible to be made into a word format so that I can edit it there, rather than in another app. Also, I wish that I could somehow add more space anywhere so that I can add information when needed or some better stickies (the ability to hide your stickies and the text behind them not to be visible). Another thing that would make this even greater is adding more languages for the text recogniser.
the prices, hello?
vyn16.
it s a good app, a very good one but you have to pay and it s pretty expensive tbh. i can t afford to pay it monthly like that because i m trying to save money so i changed to another app that doesn t require to pay. it s good to use this if you don t have much to write or if you ll pay it because after 7 pages the app will not let you write anymore until you pay, you will be able just to read what you ve writted until next month and so on. in my opinion the apps are for helping, especially this kind of aps that are used especially by students and i know it s a lot of work to create a nice app but we need to think that we are not helping them if we charge them for what? writting down to study? making work a lot easier for them at home when studying? it s a shame that the nicest apps require money and take that as a normal thing and the ones that let s say are not the greatest offer you the chance to use it for free, not because they re bad but because the developers thought about what i said earlier. english is not my first lang. so yeah maybe i didn t write all good, but that was all i wanted to say. this app is nice but only if you re willing to pay :)
Developer Response
Thank you for the honest feedback. Many of you asked for a one time purchase instead of a subscription, and we listened: Classic is back. It is a single payment with no subscription, and you can find it in Notability under Settings, then Manage Subscription. Here is the announcement: https://blog.notability.com/post/you-asked-we-listened-classic-is-back. If you have questions about the plans or a purchase, open Settings in Notability, tap Help, then Contact Support, and our team will help.
• Selecting text in an imported PDF now scrolls the note when you drag to the edge, on Notability Cloud.
• Long-press a note on Home to get the same menu you get in the main Notes list.
• General crash and stability improvements.
Thanks for using Notability.
