Generally excellent crosswords and some great other games too. Just wish I could star, favourite, or save my favourite crosswords so I could revisit them or keep track of my favourite cruciverbalists. Or search by constructor! Being able to go back through archives is a wonderful option too. Closing in on 1000 crosswords between me and the spouse now. :D
WORDLE WORD MEANING
MORIA97
This is overall a beautiful and very well done, entertaining and stimulating puzzle app and the subscription is fairly cheap to let you unlock and be able to play the full archive of every single category of puzzles. The only two things that I’d like to review are one more of a question than a critic but would it be possible to add a meaning definition at the end of the WORDLE sessions? Not being an english speaking native sometimes I would miss or even luckily guess the right answer but often I dont really know what that specific word means and it does make me wonder if there could be a way to include the definition somehow and if not i would really love to know why not? sorry if im being demanding but it is honestly just curiosity. The second thing is way less serious and probably more playful and even personal because is the feeling that the puzzles are really so american culture related that it makes it oh so hard but yes that is just a little whinge please don’t get offended by it I do understand that it is NYT Games and I truly enjoy playing it finally because it is one of the only ways I stop doom scrolling and actually put my brain to work so i think a huge thank you and deserved congratulations are necessary you have created a marvellous game and I am grateful for the possibility to enjoy playing.Just adding now that it was disappointing that the wordle word of today was a word already used in the past especially because *spoiler alert* the word was FOCUS and it could’ve easily been HOCUS which has not yet been used in the game which made me particularly mad because I’ve made it in 4 instead of 3 guesses and also because paying for the full version I would not expect repeated solutions, will take another star out.
Latest version needs fixes

I love this app, but this last version with the UI modernisation needs some tweaks. The archive of previous mini leaderboards is a great touch, but it should not remain stuck on previous dates. Each day I complete the mini, the leaderboard should jump to that day. It’s very tedious to open it, discover you last checked it four days ago, and have to tab across to the current date. Let me go back, sure, but I assure you every person clicking on that tab first wants to see today’s data, not old stuff.Second, please revert the swipe behaviour in archive to change between months in your active category, not change between the standard and mini sizes. It’s much easier to swipe backward and forward than hit the tiny arrow target.
Was 5/5 as a crossword app, issues with other games bring it down

It feels that the implementation of the other games to make it “NYT Games” was rushed or something, especially the Sudoku.Biggest grievance is that the “tada” for completion is apparently a song and takes over Now Playing (so this makes it a right pain for audio over Bluetooth acting seemlessly restarting what you were listening to in other apps). But, the lack of undo and proximity of auto fill to the numbers buttons (making mistaken taps too easy) is also problematic and frustrating for puzzle solving.
This version contains improvements to keep you solving smoothly!
