Reddit is where millions of real people gather to talk, ask and debate across 100,000+ communities, from breaking news and sports to gaming, finance, and every hobby in between. Trending topics, deep-dive discussions and comment threads where real people go deeper than you'd expect on the stuff they love. Whatever you're into, there's a community that gets it. What can you do on Reddit? Reddit is built around communities, or subreddits, which are forums where real people post, comment, ask questions, and reply. You'll find gaming communities, meme-makers, travel enthusiasts, support groups, AI forums, news followers, artists, sports fans, exciting AMAs , and creators of every kind. Everything on Reddit happens inside subreddits — What are Subreddits? Communities built around a specific topic, from r/worldnews to r/TodayILearned, where real people post, comment, and discuss. There are more than 100,000 subreddits, so whatever you're into, there are real people already talking about it. - r/AskReddit, where 50M people are ready to answer anything on your mind — real people who've been there too. - r/sports, the ultimate front-row seat for game-winning plays, daily sports talk, and major league updates - r/funny, full of humor, memes, and content made to make you laugh - r/science, for real scientific discussion and news - r/gaming, join 46M gamers to swap tips and share what you're playing What do people use Reddit for? People come to Reddit to: - Find communities for everything. Breaking news, sports highlights, TV fan theories, open AI discussions, and personalized content. There really is a community for everyone. - Get loads of laughs. Memes, oddly satisfying clips, and funny videos to help you happily lose track of time. - Join AMAs, or ""Ask Me Anything"". Celebrities, series creators, and experts answer real questions from real people in live sessions. - Follow honest discussions on any topic. Pop culture, sports, entertainment, finance. People jump in with humor and insight on just about anything. - Get answers to your questions. Ask communities about relationships, mental health, parenting, careers, fitness, and more. - Find your people. Jump into threads, connect over any topic, and chat with redditors who share your interests. Got questions? We've got you Is Reddit free? Yes. Reddit is free to download and use. Reddit Premium is an optional paid upgrade. How do upvotes and karma work? Instead of likes and hearts, Reddit runs on upvotes and downvotes. Voting raises or lowers a post's visibility, so relevant, high-quality posts rise to the top while low-effort ones fade out. Voting also affects karma, a running score tied to your posts and comments. Karma doesn't limit what you can do, but more of it can help your posts get noticed, and some communities ask for a little karma before you post or comment to help keep out spam. Reddit Premium: Purchase Reddit Premium to enjoy an ads-free experience and access to premium avatar gear, r/lounge, custom app icons, and more. Payment will be charged on a recurring monthly or annual basis to your Apple account. Your monthly or annual Premium subscription will automatically renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before your subscription ends. Cancel anytime in your device's Account Settings. No partial refunds. Protect the community vibe. Quality over quantity 💎

Reddit is an incredible community-building space, and its biggest strength is that it naturally filters for a specific kind of crowd. It’s an app meant for people who use it responsibly, thoughtfully, and regularly.I genuinely hope it stays this way and doesn't morph into a mass-market platform where the general population floods in and turns it into a spam-filled mess like other social media apps. The beauty of Reddit is that if you don't possess that specific intellect or mindset the platform thrives on, you realize it very quickly and move on.Please don't use this space for pure direct sales or mindless self-promotion. Integrity and authentic interaction are everything here. Let’s keep the community safe, focused, and high-quality. We don’t need the whole world on here; we just need the right people who actually understand the assignment. 🙌🏼✨

It’s been an hour on Reddit! I am neither a Insta, FB subscriber - WhatsApp is something I am trying to make logical sense off ! But this one’s a nice mix!! Well balanced - choose what you love! Amazing UI / UX! I’d say like the old saying goes ! You got it when you’ve Reddit! Reading is a habit most of our next Gen is loosing, giving them an option to tune their Video vs Literary intake is one for the future option! Scrolling thru Reels and Reels can make any human brain a dead duck! The brain needs function - Reddit gives you that in a fun way! Love you guys!! should have got here earlier ! Try it you won’t regret ReddIT !!

Bad UI/UX design.

The new UI/UX for videos is irritating. 1. You have shifted the volume button to the right hand side which was earlier towards left side. Why make this change when you can put the new full screen mode button to the right where nothing was there before. 2. Swiping up on the video brings out random video instead of displaying the comments section. 3. I really wish the video scroll bar would appear in the home page itself like it used to before unlike how it is now i.e. going to full screen mode. This would save some extra clicks/swipes. 4. Video still continues to play by default when comments section is opened. This gets quite annoying at times.

Too many unwanted bans over petty issues

First of all fire the team who manager your appeal system. They are not working at all. Its dysfunctional. Not too long before pride has a fall. I visited my cousins hostel where apparently whoever logs into reddit gets banned Hats off to reddit for constantly and persistently trying to make people quit. Ban evasion is another meaningless rule. If any sub can ban you even if you didn't break any rules, then how can you show their posts in the feed ? I react to a post in my feed and you just ban my account for ban evasion. That doesn't make sense. If I'm banned somewhere stop showing their posts. I really don't care about any sub that i am banned. Instead of blocking the real abusers you keep blocking good users of petty issues. Appeal system is full of corrupt admins who cant even understand or resolve genuine issues.
