The main issue is that, in my case at least, the app is unresponsive to touch and scroll controls unless i use two fingers at once. After many days of trying i figured it out by frantically tapping my fingers on the screen. I was able to log my card but this needs to be fixed, otherwise the app is considered unusable and slow for a commuter who has discounted tickets, who wants to tap their card instantly.

While the convenience of the application cannot be understated there are several gaps in the implementation for this to make sense on a daily basis. Here are those gaps in no particular order- 100% online requirement is just a bad design choice, especially considering that most metro stations on the entire network do not have 3G let alone 4G/5G signal- Having the connection with Apple or Google Wallet would get rid of this requirement and considering that this app makes the entire system 99% ready for that one can only hope that that’s the next step (as doubtful as that may be)- No Apple Pay, Google Pay or any other modern payment options. The in app browser redirect is not something that should be present in an app like this (yes I understand that there may be a contract with a payment provider but this could easily be resolved as well by forwarding the details to them in an encrypted way without having to have the app load a browser interface)- Whoever added the delay/reload on the reusability of the card when scanned at a terminal should not design front-end features for a living. As Apple doesn’t place a hard limit per minute on NFC usage- No multi-device session, which just doesn’t make any sense if I have more than one phone why can’t I sign-in at the same time on both?

Good effort, works (partly) but the instructions manual needs a lot of changes in order to be friendly to the end-user.Needs desperately Apple Wallet support, and also needs to be available not just in App Store of Greece, but of other countries too. Having the app available in Greek store only, means that customers with Apple ID from a country other than Greece won’t be able to download and use it, and if they have more than one Apple ID (from two regions), they will always need to ensure they swap their App Store on their iPhone to Greece for the app to work (very annoying and time-consuming).

Using the app in an iPhone 16, more than half of the times the validator machines have trouble reading it. After failing, you have to wait 10+ seconds before you can retry (all while sitting in line to pass through the gates), and then it is still unknown whether the second time will be successful or not. Furthermore, in bad network conditions, the app fails to operate because it detects a connection and does not switch to offline mode, but it does not work either. It stays stuck, giving you yet another way to block the line of people wanting to pass through the gate.
