The app used to be promising, it is now totally useless

I have been editing on Squarespace for 5 years now and must say this may be the end of my Squarespace experience. The editing plateforme works “ok” on a desktop ( it all depend if you are PC or Mac). It used to be easier a couple of years ago, though. If you are blogging or editing on the road with an IPad Pro, be prepared to encounter a lot of frustration. Why an App if that app is not working or at best letting you do real editing ( inserting photo txt, deleting, changing layout….)This is highly disappointing and frustrating with the feeling that the last 4 years have been more a downgrade than an upgrade.

Updated ReviewI’m a web developer with over 20 years experience in the industry. Editing a SquareSpace site on the App or the mobile browsers is a broken experience. Not all the features are available, which means you need a full desktop for the full experience. I use the iPad more than my desktop. With the latest iPads, having really powerful chips, makes it an ideal desktop replacement. There are definitely other platforms available that have optimize themselves for mobile browser and in their app experience. I really like the SquareSpace site builder.I know that this is not an easy task. Maybe SquareSpace finds more users are on desktop vs iPad. At the same time I do see the ads that push SquareSpace as the all-in-one solution that makes it easy create a website.

Thank you for leaving a review. Rather than using the Squarespace App on iPad, you could use the browser platform. Check out this guide for more information:https://sqsp.link/m98gwY
