Pure instant messaging — simple, fast, secure, and synced across all your devices. One of the top 5 most downloaded apps in the world with over 1 billion active users.
FAST: Telegram is the fastest messaging app on the market, connecting people via a unique, distributed network of data centers around the globe.
SYNCED: You can access your messages from all your phones, tablets and computers at once. Telegram apps are standalone, so you don’t need to keep your phone connected. Start typing on one device and finish the message from another. Never lose your data again.
UNLIMITED: You can send media and files, without any limits on their type and size. Your entire chat history will require no disk space on your device, and will be securely stored in the Telegram cloud for as long as you need it.
SECURE: We made it our mission to provide the best security combined with ease of use. Everything on Telegram, including chats, groups, media, etc. is encrypted using a combination of 256-bit symmetric AES encryption, 2048-bit RSA encryption, and Diffie–Hellman secure key exchange.
100% FREE & OPEN: Telegram has a fully documented and free API for developers, open source apps and verifiable builds to prove the app you download is built from the exact same source code that is published.
POWERFUL: You can create group chats with up to 200,000 members, share large videos, documents of any type (.DOCX, .MP3, .ZIP, etc.) up to 2 GB each, and even set up bots for specific tasks. Telegram is the perfect tool for hosting online communities and coordinating teamwork.
RELIABLE: Built to deliver your messages using as little data as possible, Telegram is the most reliable messaging system ever made. It works even on the weakest mobile connections.
FUN: Telegram has powerful photo and video editing tools, animated stickers and emoji, fully customizable themes to change the appearance of your app, and an open sticker/GIF platform to cater to all your expressive needs.
SIMPLE: While providing an unprecedented array of features, we take great care to keep the interface clean. Telegram is so simple you already know how to use it.
PRIVATE: We take your privacy seriously and will never give any third parties access to your data. You can delete any message you ever sent or received for both sides, at any time and without a trace. Telegram will never use your data to show you ads.
For those interested in maximum privacy, Telegram offers Secret Chats. Secret Chat messages can be programmed to self-destruct automatically from both participating devices. This way you can send all types of disappearing content — messages, photos, videos, and even files. Secret Chats use End-to-End Encryption to ensure that a message can only be read by its intended recipient.
We keep expanding the boundaries of what you can do with a messaging app. Don’t wait years for older messengers to catch up with Telegram — join the revolution today.

What did you with Telegram!!! I had no issues before (up to 6.x). But now.. troubles with connecting, proximity sensor not working most of the time, troubles with speaker, echo with PC version, cannot answer, if I’m in Telegram can be dialed only.. I just don’t remember all of the bugs (they were fixed before) because they are so many.Telegram v9.X is not saving received pictures to my Photos no matter what rights I give. That’s on iOS 16.X.So sorry to see all nice functions gone away.
The chat history with my wife disappeared last night

My wife and I met on a dating site six years ago, and literally from our very first messages, we switched to chatting on Telegram because it’s more convenient and enjoyable to communicate there. You could say that’s where we exchanged our very first messages. That’s where we got to know each other better, and where, before our first date, she shyly asked how tall I was. Later, we started sharing our plans, exchanging sweet messages, and sharing photos from our dates. Of course, there were also arguments and make-ups. In other words, this correspondence was a very special part of our lives. Sometimes I’d open up our very first messages to read about what we were like back then and feel a little nostalgic for those days.Unfortunately, tonight (July 9, 2026), Telegram decided to delete our chat. We’re certain it was Telegram because the chat history was completely erased in the mobile app, and our chat had been pinned for both of us—but it was unpinned for both of us tonight. We didn’t do this; neither of us had auto-delete enabled for the chat. And it’s certainly not possible for a chat to be unpinned on two devices at the same time. When I accessed our conversation via the web version of Telegram on my computer, there was only one message from my wife dated July 1, 2026, and none of today’s messages—which were sent after the reset—were there. There is every reason to believe that this was a glitch on Telegram’s end.
this was the best messenger… once

what happened to “Telegram will always be free”? Another lie by Durov. Posting stories is reserved for premium users only, need I remind you that it’s free in most other apps? This app cannot even change the network channel anymore! If I am on a call, and I change network from wifi to mobile data - call connection is lost and the only way to fix is to drop it and call again. Viber and Whatsapp can change network seamlessly. Every single other app can do it, but the most expensive messenger on the market cant. And now it forces a pop up every time i open telegram “please update your app since you’re using and old version that soon can stop working” I’ve updated your app 2 days ago bro, its not like im on ios 7.4 and checking first iteration of telegram. Seriously, this downfall to greed should be studied
It’s my default messaging choice

There’s nothing more to say. Telegram is simply the only choice. After Whatsup data leak few years ago I had to change phone numbers to get robot calls to stop. I have been using Telegram ever since as default non stop - it’s been the best. A lot of features that just make it the best. Perks if you want to contribute and pay for a subscription, but not needed. Just great job to the team behind it and keeping it alive after so many governments want control over their data. Keep up the amazing work!
Bug fixes, minor improvements, and more.
