These terms and conditions govern the use of Freebasics.com service administered by Etisalat misr in collaboration with Facebook. The offer comprises free internet access to basic listed internet services through a websites or an application on a device (a phone or a tablet)
By accepting this terms and conditions or making use of freebasics.com, you accept and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

Free basics will be available from 00:00:01, on 22 Oct, 2015

General Terms & Conditions

1. All standard Terms and Conditions of Etisalat apply.
2. Postpaid, prepaid customers on Etisalat misr will have access to freebasics.com
3. Postpaid, prepaid customers who are deactivated will not be able to use freebascis.com
4. To qualify for FREE freebasics.com use, Prepaid customers need to recharge every 30 days OR have a positive balance on their account.
5. The customer should recharge with any value airtime or load a Data bundle every 30 days to qualify for the Promotion.
6. Every recharge gives the customer an additional 30 days free access from the date of recharge.
7. Emergency Airtime and Airtime Transfer qualify as recharges.
8. Normal data charging rules apply if the customer loses their free services. The customer will be charged according to their current tariff plan.
9. The freebasics.com application is only available on Android. All other users will access the service via the freebasics.com browser.
10. Customers can download the Freebasics.com application from the Google Play store or from any trusted locations or links
11. The one-time data downloading charge for the Internet.org Android application is NOT free. Customers will be charged for downloading the application to run Internet.org as per their applicable data tariff plan.
12. Alternatively, customers can go to www.freebasics.com to access the site to avoid the one-time app download charge.
13. Customers will get access to free services to the listed sites on freeservcies.com without having to subscribe to any data plan and without applying any data charges
14. If free basics is accessed from a device other than a phone or tablet, then the customer may get an error as follows, "This App is not compatible with your device". A laptop with a Etisalat misr dongle will not qualify for the free freebasics.com service.
15. The free sites in Freebasics.com can only be accessed using Etisalat voice SIM any other internet access method will not be able to benefit from the free charging service of Freebasics.com
16. Currently iOS & Windows mobile applications are not available. These customers may only access freebasics.com through the browser and visiting www.freebasics.com

18. Unless otherwise notified, “FREE” means that the listed sites/services detailed as part of freebascis.com in Section 2 and 3 below will be zero-rated.
19. Free basic services are available through each link under freebasics.com, if the customer chooses to access other sites and services outside of the listed services; the customer will be charged on all data consumed on non-free basic services Etisalat misr shall not be liable for any charges should a customer not receive an alert when accessing chargeable services.

User data sharing:
To ensure better costumer experience etisalat will share customers MSISDN when using freebasic.com with Facebook (Inc.), without disclosing any personal details

Free Services:
On freebasics.com, access to the following internet services will be free

1. Free Facebook Posts (Liking a page, commenting on a post and sharing a post)
2. Facebook Messenger
3. Basic view of all websites content

Freebascis.com sites:
Basic services on the following third party content sites will be provided for free when using Internet.org:

• Facebook
• Messenger
• Bing
• Wikipedia
• AccuWeather
• BBC News
• Masrawy
• Yallakora
• Forasna
• The Free Dictionary
• Yellow pages
• SmartWoman
• SmartBusiness
• MoneyMatters

Chargeable services
Charges will be applicable as per the customer’s mobile internet tariff plan if:

1. The customer clicks or accesses a link that directs to a different website, outside of the free freebasics.com hosted sites.
2. The customer accesses pictures or videos, where the customer is advised that it is chargeable.
3. The customer surfs Facebook or any other free sites directly instead of going through www.freebasics.com or free basics Android application
4. The customer’s phone has some applications running in the background, which is using data.
5. The customer downloads the free basics application from the Google Play store.
6. The customer makes Voice Over IP (VOIP) calls using Facebook.
7. The customer uses any other rated data traffic like Instagram and YouTube while using freebasics.com application or on the browser
8. The customer will get an alert when the customer navigates away from the free services in freebasics.com and will incur charges. Etisalat shall not be liable for any charges should a customer not receive an alert when accessing chargeable services



9. Purchasing of Data Bundles on freebasics.com
   Customers will be able to purchase Data bundles directly on freebasic.com from 22nd Oct 2015
   1. Customers will receive an alert when they try to access a non-free service on freebasic.com
   2. Customers will be notified that the service is not free and will be charged as per their data tariff rates
   3. The customer will have the option to buy a data bundle or continue to use their current plan rates or bundles where applicable.
   4. Payment will be real time for prepaid customers using their personal main balance.
   5. For Postpaid customers, the bundle purchase fee will reflect on the customer’s next bill
   6. Normal usage rules for data bundles will apply.
   7. Please note that Etisalat misr shall not be liable for any charges should a customer not receive an alert when accessing chargeable services.
   
   
   
   8. Data charging:
      If the customer accesses chargeable services while making use of freebasics.com, data charges will be incurred and normal charging rules will apply as per the customer rate plan and its mobile internet charging mechanism
