Welcome to OpenGenus and thank you for expressing your interest in the Internship program :tada:

We have relaunched the program on popular demand with a focus on AI research and engineering exclusively. OpenGenus is a 9-year-old open-source CS publication and research house cited by 1000+ research papers and built by 2,500+ contributors worldwide.

Open to everyone. You do not need to be a CS student. Students, self-taught developers, researchers and career switchers are all welcomed. You should just be comfortable with basic programming (in any language) and curious to learn about AI/ML.

Please note: this internship opportunity is unpaid, remote and merit-based. It is designed to help participants to gain experience and credential and land wonderful opportunities in near future.

What will one get upon successful completion of the Internship program?

Apart from the experience you will gain by working on our open source projects, following are the few things we provide:

Key points

  • Minimum Internship duration is 1 month.
  • Apply when you are ready to begin the internship in a week.
  • Successful completion of Internship depends on the successful completion of tasks with includes:
    • At least 2 published research paper review on OpenGenus IQ and 1 brainstorming session with mentor.
    • 1 small development task based on above topic to be completed.
    • Update mentor on your progress at least once every two days
  • Your mentor will guide you to complete the tasks so no experience is needed and you can do it easily
  • The rules are flexible so you can work at your convenience

How to apply?

To get started with the Internship program, follow the following steps:

  • Get this round’s problem sheet: link to problem sheet (updated frequently so solve within a day of accessing it)
  • Solve it, then post your solution on LinkedIn as an image or pdf, tagging OpenGenus and add the text “Solution to OpenGenus's AI Research & Engineering internship”. Your post timestamp will be your submission time.
  • Comment under this post with your solution post link and a 1 line introduction about you.
  • Following this, our mentors will get in touch with you on this forum directly with your result within a day.
  • Upon successful completion of the screening task, you will be admitted to our Internship program :tada:
